About Bureau483

Built to make public enforcement data commercially useful.

Bureau483 turns FDA inspection outcomes and enforcement timing patterns into territory-exclusive prospect intelligence for life science consulting firms.
FDA inspection data has always been public. What Bureau483 adds is a system that calculates the elapsed window between an inspection closing and a warning letter being issued, cross-references facility enforcement and citation history, and maps that signal to the specific remediation services a consulting firm sells. Bureau483 was built to fill that gap, validated against Bureau483's own historical analysis of 856 facilities from 2022 through 2024, and it converts public records into a ranked, evidence-based prospect pipeline.
Accuracy over volume
We publish only what we can source and date. Every claim links to its origin.
Explainability
Every risk score exposes its factors. Every prospect shows its evidence.
Restraint
We do not infer contact data from FDA records. We do not enable harassment or misleading outreach.
Responsible use
Territory licenses require agreement to ethical prospecting standards.
Bureau483 pulls inspection classification data from FDA's public Data Dashboard API. Every OAI-classified inspection is cross-referenced against issued warning letters using the facility's FEI number as the join key.
The elapsed window between inspection close date and warning letter issuance is calculated per facility. Bureau483's own historical analysis of 856 facilities from 2022–2024 found a 21.4% subsequent Warning Letter rate and a 179-day median lag — independently consistent with the only prior industry estimate ever disclosed.
Each prospect is prioritized using days elapsed, product type, and citation history — Bureau483's own analysis found facilities with prior enforcement citations convert to Warning Letters at roughly double the rate of facilities without (statistically significant, p=0.007). CFR citations from the inspection are mapped to consulting service lines, and similar historical cases are surfaced for comparison. The result is a ranked list of facilities prioritized using validated historical signals and current regulatory evidence — updated every 6 hours.
